I always try to be 100% honest and authentic with my readers. So when I tell you that I was hesitant to participate in this brand campaign, that’s the complete truth. Another cookbook? Another diet plan? Another beefcake telling us what we should and shouldn’t eat, all while shoving kale and beets down our throat? No. Thanks. However, the title Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks-While Burning Fat Overnight piqued my curiosity, so I signed up anyway. A few weeks later, I received the book in the mail.

I opened the book and started reading and it wasn’t long before a few things became very clear:
- This wasn’t just “another cookbook”. Yes, it does include some (really delicious) recipes from top chef Diana Keuilian. But this is so much more than a cookbook. The first half of the book explains the science behind this lifestyle, myth busters, reasons why diets have failed in the past, and fascinates with informative, yet understandable, explanations of how the body works. I quite literally feel like everything I believed before was inaccurate.
- This wasn’t just “another diet plan”, either. There are a lot of reasons I went ahead with this campaign. But the part that actually got me excited was finding out that it really is a lifestyle. As most of you know, I’m a mother of three. I believe that lifestyle eating habits is one of the most important examples I will set. We, as parents, condition our kids to how they will treat their bodies in the future and finding a healthy, yet not-too-restricted meal plan can be so difficult. Not only does this plan allow cheat days, it encourages it! Sign. Me. Up.
- And my last point: The author of this book, Joel Marion, is not “just another beefcake“. Quite frankly, he’s far from it. Bestselling author, Joel Marion, is a fitness expert and nutritionist debunking the myths underlying traditional dieting and offers a simple, highly effective weight loss program. Before he became a competitive body builder, Joel struggled with his own health. He also built one of the largest and highest quality supplement companies in the country, BioTrust. And all of the information in this book is scientifically backed and cited. Not to mention, some of it will blow your mind. Below is a quote that should make all of us night owls happy:
It’s probably been drilled into your head that eating late at night leads to obesity and excess belly fat. Myths like this one are strangely persistent, even though there’s little research to back them up. Randomized scientific trials, however, definitely contradict the notion that late-night eating inevitably leads to weight gain or interferes with weight loss.
We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.
So, eating late at night doesn’t necessarily cause weight gain or hinder weight loss?? That’s exactly right! Talk about a myth buster!
You guys, I really believe this book can help change the unhealthy eating habits of my family and I. I don’t know that I’ve ever been more excited to participate in a brand campaign. And here’s the thing: Even if this plan doesn’t end up working for us, my outlook on healthy eating has already changed and I’m so thankful for it. This book is worth picking up for the information and recipes alone, if you’re not interested in changing your daily eating habits. I don’t think anyone would regret learning more about the truth behind than science. I know I sure don’t!
